  I have visited Luke’s twice with the same results. My first visit was for a foot petal for my sewing machine. A bland employee who seemed not interested when I was not looking to purchase a machine took the information and said they would contact me for pricing. Still have not heard from them. I said I would not go back. Now I’m looking for a new machine, I said I would give them another chance. I went to the Tri-county store. The person that greeted me passed me off to another. The first question I was asked was what was my budget. When I told what my budget was the I was told they didn’t have anything and if the got any used machines they would call me. I felt very offended. They did not show me any machine or let me touch any of them. I definitely will not go back to them in the future.

  They fixed my Singer 6700 sewing/embroidery machine to a "like new" state after another local sewing retailer KRAMERS located in Montgomery failed to not only fix the initial problem with my machine, but it came back with parts broken that weren't broken before I gave it to them. Almost a year later and my machine still works great. Kudos....

  I had the same experience as some of the other customers. High pressure sales and higher prices than other stores for exactly the same item. I was given a price for embroidery software and it sounded like a deal, I had to leave the store and said that I would return for the software. While I was gone, I called Joann's fabrics, they have the same software for $50 cheaper. When I returned to the store they had already charged my credit card and said they could not return the money to me even though they did not even have the software in stock. I refused to sign the sales slip.I left the store called the manager which is Genevieve's mom. She was upset because I was returning the software to save $50 and she said that putting it on my credit card gave me six months to pay. I told her I needed the software that day and Luke's did not have it in stock. I wanted to do some embroidery work for Christmas presents and I didn't want to make a trip back to Cincinnati to pick up the software. She told me she would refund the money to my credit card account but that I would no longer be considered one of her customers and I was no longer in the VIP club. Now keep in mind that I had just purchased a $6000 sewing machine, the diamond royale,from their store. So that was in December and she has yet to refund my credit card account and I've had to open a dispute against the store. So they have charged me $988 for something they did not even have in the store to sell. Do your research before you buy from them, I wish I would have. Like others have said they give you a price , tell you you won't find it cheaper and then you do. Once they get your money they will not give you a refund . For some items they will give you store credit. UPDATE: The owner called to inform me that she had refunded the money for the software to my credit card. She said she thought that it had been taken care of and that she was busy due to the holidays. She also said that she would be happy to continue giving me support on the sewing machine.
